PIE application integration at Alliance Bank (Kazakhstan)
Information and technological landscape of Alliance Bank had a heterogeneous environment with dozens of applications. That complicated the straight-through processing of business processes without the use of modern industrial integration solutions. According to the results of the tender, the Bank chose PIE integration platform from CMA.
The strategic objective of PIE implementation project was to create a modern infrastructure based on the methodology of integration of business applications, allowing accumulation of all the information flows of data exchange between heterogeneous systems at the Bank. PIE implementation project consisted of several stages each resolving its specific business objectives (business processes).
In 2006 on the first stage (proof of concept) there have been implemented such processes as input and distribution of currency exchange rates, operations with plastic cards and SMS notifications.
Subsequent stages covered dozens of mission-critical processes.
In 2008 the Bank seamlessly integrated brand-new remote banking service applications without involvement of the vendor and relying on its own expertise in PIE application integration.
During the period from 2010 to 2012 CMA successfully implemented the following updates:
- Upgrade of PIE to version 5.1,
- Migration of the solution to 64 bit architecture.
